Fairly half of our daily activity involves technology. From the alarm clock that starts our day to a chair massager that eases our muscle tensions. It is undeniable and it is here to stay. Even in soothing our kids, we automatically grab that iPad / tablet and willingly hand it to them. Parents nowadays cuddle their kids less, making the iPad an ultimate companion.
“… in soothing our kids, we automatically grab that iPad / tablet and willingly hand it to them. “
We have to admit, this “quick fix” is our modern way of handling them. In our fast paced family life, wherein we try to juggle work, family time and alone time, we often neglect the effects of our actions.
iPads or tablets aren’t necessarily bad. Its all about proper delegation of kid’s activities. Give them time to play with you, let them get dirty, buy some fun books, and encourage them to socialize with other kids. Balancing screen time, physical and social activities will put their behavioral development into the right track.
